A brand refresh introduced by the organization's annual report. New City Kids is an inner-city youth organization franchise that provides teen mentorship and after school programming to low-income children.
New City Kids is an inner city youth program that focuses on teen mentorship and after school programming where music is taught. The organization was in need of a refreshed look and feel. The prior branding was limited, featuring a single color and a type selection that was outdated, difficult to read, and lacked sophistication. The annual report for 2019 was used to introduced the new branding and to hopefully inspire and instill confidence in new donors.

Primary Typeface
Chose a typestyle and color palette that was playful yet sophisticated. Being that the organization is a youth betterment program, I wanted the type and color to be youthful while still appearing mature enough to have donors and stakeholders want to get involved.
Secondary TypefACE
Characterized by its clarity and legibility, making it well-suited for user interfaces and long-form text. Inspired by American gothic typefaces, it balances clarity with a touch of humanist influence.

New City Kids Annual report for 2019 was to communicate not only the organization's mission but reflect its energy, fun, and youthfulness. I designed this report with these qualities in mind, as well as captured the majority of imagery shown. I also conducted internal surveys, researched statistics, and made many copy writing and editing contributions.
